We would like to encourage any woman who likes to ride a Harley, either her own or the back of someone elses, to join our Ladies of Harley (LOH) group. It's a good way to meet other women, have some good conversations, and enjoy good times and laughter. In the past year we have held many different acitivities.
We organized and ran a benefit "Ride Around the Independant Republic of Horry" to raise money for a local youth center, held a can drive for a local food bank, took donations to a nursing home and recently ran a water station for the Myrtle Beach Marathon. We also had some just plain fun with our jewelry party and our LOH night out!
All of our events have incorporated riding our motorcycles, since that is what HOG is all about! The LOH events are not restricted to ladies only. We are not a separate organization but an important part of HOG and as such, all members are welcome at any event. The men of HOG were an intregal part of all our events.
National LOH Responsibilities:
- assists the sponsoring dealer & chapter director in upholding the
"annual charter for HOG Chapters" - encourages women members to take an active part in the chapter - answers questions about the LOH program - coordinates LOH chapter activities Remember: LOH is another benefit of membership, not a separate organization within HOG or local chapters. LOH was established to help women become more active members of HOG and their existing local chapter. More women than ever before are enjoying the sport of motorcycling. With your help, LOH will continue to serve members' needs in the future. |
